Biography
Dušan Caf is director of the Digitas Institute that connects experts and leaders in addressing the challenges of today’s society, and provides a platform for connecting stakeholders from advocacy, academia and industry that collaborate on creating a safer and more inclusive digital society. He also leads digital policy and digital accessibility programmes.
Dušan is the Chairman of the National Electronic Communications Council. He previously served as Chairman of the Council of the Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (2014–2016) and Chairman of the National Electronic Communications Council (2011–2016). Under his leadership, the council issued numerous statements and position papers on key policy issues, significantly influencing national communication policies.
Between 2019 and 2021, Dušan served as a consultant of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialised United Nations agency based in Geneva. In 2020, he carried out a Europe-wide ICT accessibility assessment and developed the ITU report ICT accessibility assessment for the Europe region.
